Single Jet or Multi Jet?

Single jet meters are a less cost option where there is a direct impact to the impeller at the same position from the flow of water through the meter.

On a multi jet meter there are several points at which the water rotates the impeller. This gives a longer life and retains accuracy as the load is evenly placed across the impeller.

Historically, only single jet meters could be used for vertical installations. This is no longer the case where our range of multi jet meters are MID approved for both horizontal and vertical installation.

Stockshed recommend using robust multi jet meters, particularly for 1" bsp through to 2" bsp sizes, where budget and installation space allows for longer life and improved accuracy.
