Stockshed Limited and Stockshed Metering Limited are separate companies
Stockshed Limited — company number 08599755 — and Stockshed Metering Limited — company number 15729790 — are separate legal companies.
Stockshed Metering Limited is not a subsidiary, division or authorised trading name of Stockshed Limited.
Registered STOCKSHED® trade mark and business identity
STOCKSHED® is a registered trade mark owned by Stockshed Limited, registration number UK00003577883.
No board resolution or unanimous written decision of Stockshed Limited has been passed authorising Stockshed Metering Limited to use the STOCKSHED® trade mark, established Stockshed branding, customer-facing identity, domains, supplier accounts, agreed credit terms or historic trading reputation.
The established blue Stockshed presentation has been replaced on connected websites with a green “Stockshed Metering Limited” presentation while the distinctive STOCKSHED name, historic website identity and established customer recognition have continued to be used.
Stockshed Limited has not authorised that rebranding or presentation. It is capable of giving customers and suppliers the incorrect impression that Stockshed Metering Limited is an authorised rebrand, subsidiary, division or continuation of Stockshed Limited.
The appearance of the Stockshed name, logo, website history or established trading identity on a website, invoice, email or payment instruction must not be treated as proof that the communication has been issued or authorised by Stockshed Limited.
Customer payment warning
Customers should not:
- make payment to Stockshed Metering Limited for an order presented as Stockshed, Stockshed Limited or a GLAD Group business;
- make payment to the Monzo account ending 6469 in connection with a Stockshed-branded order;
- rely on current website payment details as proof of the identity of the contracting company; or
- make any further or balance payment until the contracting company, ownership of the goods and destination of payment have been independently confirmed.
If you have already placed an order or made a payment:
- retain the invoice, order confirmation and all emails;
- retain proof of payment;
- do not delete any correspondence;
- do not make any further payment pending clarification; and
- contact the neutral address below.
Important notice to suppliers and trade creditors
Suppliers should not assume that a request, purchase order or account instruction using the Stockshed name has been authorised by Stockshed Limited.
Pending clarification, suppliers should not:
- release goods on the credit account of Stockshed Limited;
- extend Stockshed Limited’s agreed credit terms to Stockshed Metering Limited;
- transfer, rename or amend a Stockshed Limited supplier account;
- substitute Stockshed Metering Limited as the customer on an existing Stockshed Limited account;
- accept revised bank, delivery, billing or email details without independent verification; or
- treat Stockshed Limited’s purchasing history, references or established credit relationship as belonging to Stockshed Metering Limited.
Any existing credit facility, purchasing history or supplier relationship belonging to Stockshed Limited must not be treated as transferred to another company without clear written corporate authority.
Suppliers who have received recent requests to change an account name, delivery address, billing details or credit arrangements should retain those communications and contact the neutral address below before taking further action.
Why this action has been taken
Concerns have arisen because connected websites have displayed Stockshed and GLAD Group branding while:
- enquiries have been directed to @stockshedmetering.com;
- payment and payout arrangements have been changed to accounts associated with Stockshed Metering Limited;
- bank-transfer instructions have named Stockshed Metering Limited;
- customer information and orders have been collected through websites historically associated with Stockshed Limited;
- established Stockshed branding has been altered and combined with the identity of a separate company in a way capable of causing customer and supplier confusion; and
- addresses and company descriptions have been used whose authority on behalf of Stockshed Limited is not accepted.
The websites and domains are therefore being placed on neutral holding pages to protect customers, suppliers, company data and business assets while the position is investigated.
Email and communication warning
Do not rely solely on replies from:
- @stockshed.com; or
- @stockshedmetering.com
as confirmation that you are dealing with or have received authority from Stockshed Limited.
Do not use those addresses alone to verify:
- the identity of the contracting company;
- ownership of goods;
- where payment should be made;
- whether credit should be extended; or
- whether an order or invoice has been authorised by Stockshed Limited.
